Suspects Being Sought in Brazen Darien Robbery

Police in Darien say three suspects burst into the David Harvey Jewelers on the Post Road and robbed the place using sledgehammers.

The suspects ordered everyone to the ground and proceeded to smash display cases with the sledgehammers, making off with tens of thousands of dollars in jewelry and watches.

They then got into a waiting getaway car, 1989 gray Toyota Camry with New York Plates.  Detectives are reviewing video surveillance to get a better picture of the suspects and car.

The robbery is similar to the one at Betteridge Jewelers in Greenwich back in November.
