State Police are asking the public’s help in their search for a fugitive wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a child.    The suspect is identified as 28-year-old Christian Santiago, who has ties to Enfield, Winsted, Torrington and New Britain.

Police say he’s a convicted sexual offender with known affiliations to the Crips street gang.  There’s a court-set bond of half a million dollars in the case,  plus a $200,000 bond for violation of probation.

He’s described as 5-foot-11,  180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes,  and with numerous tattoos.

Police say he knows there is an active felony warrant for his arrest and he has told others he will not go back to prison.

They ask anyone with information to call Connecticut State Police at (860) 824-2500.  In-state,  tipsters can call (800)-497-0403.
