Governor Malloy is continuing his jobs tour with a visit with aerospace components manufacturers.
Malloy is scheduled to appear today at Trumpf Inc., a Farmington company that deals in sheet metal fabrication machinery and industrial lasers. The governor will meet with Aerospace
Components Manufacturers, a network of Connecticut-based aerospace companies.
Malloy and Catherine Smith, the Department of Economic and Community Development commissioner, are also scheduled to meet state agency heads to discuss their efforts to boost job creation.
Malloy kicked off the job tour Monday when he appeared at the Business Council of Fairfield County’s annual meeting and discussed ideas for job growth.
Unemployment in Connecticut has fluctuated between 9 percent and 9.2 percent since December 2009 and was 9.1 percent in May, the third month in a row.
