Rain Interrupts Travelers Pro-Am Celebrity Day

CROMWELL, Conn. (AP) _ Rain has shortened play for celebrity
pro-am day at the Travelers Championship golf tournament in
Connecticut.

The morning session was ended by storms before any group had
completed 18 holes.

Defending champion Bubba Watson was the first pro to tee off at
6:50 a.m. and made it through 17 holes. A group featuring singer
Michael Bolton and UConn basketball coach Jim Calhoun had played 14
holes.

Tour officials were hoping the rain would subside enough so the
afternoon groups, with celebrities including actor Joe Pesci and
fomer Boston College quarterback Doug Flutie can get in nine holes.
