Arrest Made in Hartford Convenience Store Killing

An 18-year old suspect in the fatal shooting of an elderly man outside a Hartford convenience store has been arrested.

Police say Charles Wilson confessed to firing the shots that struck 74-year old Andrew Igidi outside the Hot Corner Market on Albany Avenue May 30. Igidi was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Wilson ran from cops after he was spotted trespassing and was apprehended after a short foot chase.

Police believe Igidi was an innocent bystander.
