A day after some 45 school buses were found with slashed tires in New Milford, Wolcott education officials dealt with a similar case Tuesday.
The town’s entire fleet of 28 school buses was found with flat tires Tuesday morning, prompting school to be canceled for the day, according to Superintendent of Schools Joseph Macary.
Macary says he believes it’s a “copy cat” incident following the case in New Milford. Wolcott Police are investigating and have been in contact with authorities in New Milford.
Repair crews were making progress inflating the tires late Tuesday morning and there appeared to be little other damage, said police.
