Light Plane Down in Wooded Area

WESTBROOK, Conn. (AP) _ One man has been killed and another injured in a small plane crash in southern Connecticut.
Rescue workers found the single-engine Piper upside down Friday afternoon in a wooded area of Westbrook.

State police Sgt. Robert Derry tells the Hartford Courant the two unidentified men were slipping in and out of consciousness as rescuers worked to remove them from the wreckage. The survivor was flown to a hospital for treatment.

A witness called authorities shortly after 2:30 p.m. Friday to report that a plane appeared to be going down.
