ENFIELD, Conn. (AP) _ A Granby police captain facing federal child pornography possession charges is now also facing a marijuana possession charge.
Granby Police Capt. David Bourque (BORK) pleaded not guilty Thursday in Enfield Superior Court to a charge of possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana.
The 50-year-old was charged in April on child pornography charges after investigators said they found “thousands and thousands” of images and videos on a laptop in his office.
During a search of Bourque’s home, police said they found the marijuana.
Bourque’s attorney Richard Brown said his client denied that the marijuana was his and also said Bourque did not manufacture the pornography found on his computer.
Bourque has been a captain in Granby for about 18 months and is currently on paid administrative leave.
