New Waterbury Prosecutor Named, Replacing Connelly

Connecticut’s Criminal Justice Commission has named a new State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Waterbury.

Maureen Platt  was named to complete the remainder of the eight-year-term of State’s Attorney John Connelly,  who resigned in February.

Platt,  who joined the Division of Criminal Justice 29 years ago,  worked in the office of the Chief State’s Attorney from 1982-1987, was in private practice from 1987-1996, then worked in the prosecutor’s offices in Bridgeport and Middletown
