EAST LYME, Conn. (AP) _ A 15-year-old girl from East Lyme is charged with assaulting a police officer after allegedly kicking the man in the groin.
Police say the girl also faces charges of disorderly conduct, interfering with police, and being a habitual runaway.
She was arrested Monday after being reported missing by her mother. Police say after she was found, she refused to talk and then kicked the officer.
He was not seriously injured. The teen’s case is being handled in Juvenile Court in Waterford.
