Feds Arrest Connecticut Man In New York Explosives Case

NEW YORK (AP) _ Authorities are investigating a Connecticut man who’s accused of selling makeshift pipe bombs from his car in a Bronx parking lot.

The unidentified man was arrested Thursday afternoon at a Co-Op City shopping center.

WABC-TV says undercover officers bought eight crude pipe bombs from him.

Authorities believe he was acting on his own.

A block of Riverview Drive in Bridgeport was closed as investigators searched his apartment overnight.

A Connecticut state trooper suffered a minor injury from one of the devices.
