Rain, Snow Postpone Mets vs Rockies

DENVER (AP) _ The game between the New York Mets and Colorado Rockies has been postponed because of rain and snow in the Denver area.

The game scheduled for 3:10 p.m. Wednesday will be played Thursday at 3:10 p.m.

Ubaldo Jimenez (0-2) was scheduled to start for Colorado and Jonathon Niese (1-4) was expected to pitch for the Mets.

It was the 20th postponement of the season in the major leagues, one shy of last year’s total.
