$750-Thousand Bond In Bomb-Materials Case

The defense attorney for a University of Connecticut student says his client will not be able to make the three-quarters of a million dollars bond set at his arraignment on charges of possession of bomb-making materials.

Prosecutors say the materials were found in a car belonging to 19-year-old Komail Hasan of Bristol,  who already had been charged with making a bomb threat against UConn’s West Hartford campus.  His defense attorney says it was not an actual threat,  but more of a childish attempt to cause plastic soda bottles to expand.
