Bristol Police have arrested a local man in connection with a 2006 arson in which a “Molotov Cocktail” was tossed through a window of a multi-family home on Margerie Street– sparking a fire.

Police say they’ve held an arrest warrant for Richard N. Perri, 43, of Indiana Street since March of 2008, but he fled to Maine to avoid arrest. Perri recently returned to the area and was arrested Monday on first-degree arson and first-degree arson conspiracy charges, said authorities.

Police say the incident, which occurred early on the morning of October 11, 2006 was retaliation for a domestic situation. The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.

Perri was due to be arraigned Tuesday in Bristol Superior Court. He was held on $250,000 bond.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and they are not ruling out additional arrests.
