State police say four men using a stolen van and wearing dark-colored mesh masks covering their entire faces held up the Naugatuck Savings Bank on Main Street North in Southbury Wednesday morning.

Police say they used a sage green van which had been reported stolen in New Haven,  which was recovered a short time later in a parking lot several hundred feet from the bank.  Police say evidence found in the van has provided leads in the case.

Three of the four were about six feet tall, with the fourth described as shorter.   They all wore dark-colored outer clothing, one with a red shirt underneath and another with a gold shirt underneath.  Police released surveillance photos of the heist.

Anyone who may have been in the area and observed anything suspicious in the area prior to or immediately after this robbery is asked to contact State Police Troop A (203) 267-2200.  All calls will be kept confidential.
