State Police To Investigate Meriden Police Actions

Connecticut State Police will look into a complaint of alleged misconduct by members of the Meriden Police Department.

New Haven Judicial District State’s Attorney Michael Dearington has asked for the investigation,  which will be conducted by the Western District Major Crime Squad.   The request was prompted by allegations of Meriden police brutality against a prisoner in custody,  and complaints about the way Meriden police handled the case internally.
