Plainfield Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

Family members have confirmed the death of Seargeant Frank Adamski of Plainfield.  Adamski killed in Afghanistan on Tuesday, a day before what would have been his 27th birthday.

A relative confirmed his death, but said they were still waiting to hear from the Defense Department on how Adamski died.

Adamski had also served in Iraq and was recently on leave to be with his wife and his 1-year old daughter.

He is the third soldier with Connecticut ties to die within about a month’s time.     Sergeant First Class Dae Han Park, of Watertown was killed March 12.   Army Specialist David Fahey, who was raised in Norwalk, was killed in action February 28th in Kandahar Province.
