Manslaughter Arrest In Fatal I-95 Accident

State police say a Bridgeport man is charged with manslaughter and motor vehicle charges after a year-long investigation into a fatal accident which closed Interstate 95 southbound for hours near the Moses Wheeler Bridge.

Troopers said after the March 6, 2010 accident, that a passenger vehicle apparently swerved into the path of the tractor trailer .  The truck driver lost control and the vehicle flipped,   throwing the driver from the cab.  He was identified as 53-year-old David Rapoport of Rhode Island.    They said the driver and passenger in the car fled the scene.

Police arrested 35-year-old Allen Boulware is charged with manslaughter, reckless driving, evading responsibility and misconduct with a motor vehicle.  They say his passenger has died in the interim, though not of injuries related to the crash.
