DMV To Curtail Some Services This Sat.

The state Department of Motor Vehicles is curtailing some of its services Saturday. The department says due to an upgrade taking place in it’s computer system, it won’t be issuing new driver’s licenes, new or renewed commercial licenses, new state identification cards, and new learner’s permits. DMV offices will be open the ususal Saturday hours from eight a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will process other customer transactions such as registration services and duplicate licenses. The department says normal services will resume Tuesday when offices reopen for business. DMV offices are closed Mondays for customer transactions.
