Rail Service Resumes

Maintenance crews have finished repairs on the supports for a section of Metro-North track through Bethel,  and train service on the  Danbury line has resumed.   Heavy rains earlier this month washed away the supports,  leaving a section of track hanging unsupported 30 feet above the bottom of the gully.

Metro-North says crews brought in 10 million pounds of rocks to re-build a 150-foot section of berm.
