Waterbury Police are investigating a bank robbery Wednesday morning on Highland Avenue.
Around 8:30 a.m., police say a male suspect entered the Thomaston Savings Bank and handed a teller a note threatening that he had a gun and demanding cash. The teller complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, possibly in a red Pontiac, said police.
No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported, said police.
Police describe the suspect as a white male with a scruffy beard wearing sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a black mask covering the lower portion of his face.
