UConn guard Kemba Walker is one of five players named to the first team of the Men’s All-America Team chosen by the United States Basketball Writers Association. He’s the only junior named to the first team and is one of two Big East Players in the top ten. Ben Hansbrough of Notre Dame was named to the second team.
Also named to the first team are seniors Jimmer Fredette of Brigham Young, JaJuan Johnson of Purdue, Nolan Smith of Duke and freshman Jared Sullinger of Ohio State.
Also named to the second team are senior Kenneth Faried, Moorhead State; sophomores Jordan Hamilton, Texas, and Derrick Williams, of Arizona and junior Marcus Morris of Kansas.
