East Hampton Woman Strangled

EAST HAMPTON, Conn. (AP) _The state medical examiner has ruled that an East Hampton woman found dead inside her home last week had been strangled.

Authorities say 24-year-old Jaclyn Fitzgerald was found on Friday after being reported missing.

A man described as a “person of interest” in the case was found dead Sunday at the Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville.
The medical examiner ruled that 22-year-old Oscar Wojtanowski committed suicide by jumping from a five-story parking garage and the cause of death was “massive blunt force trauma.”

East Hampton Police Chief Matt Reimondo says Wojtanowski was Fitzgerald’s on-and-off boyfriend. He says the investigation into the case is continuing.
