BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) _ Bridgeport police have made an arrest in connection with the shooting death in January of a city man outside a nightclub.
A department spokesman says 21-year-old Michael Gregory was apprehended at his apartment on Tuesday.
The spokesman tells The Connecticut Post that Gregory is charged with murder, first-degree assault and first-degree reckless endangerment in connection with the Jan. 22 death of 24-year-old William Vargas.
Vargas was shot in the head while sitting in a car outside Club Allure.
A second man on the street outside the club was shot in the right pelvis. He survived.
Williams’ death was the city’s first homicide of the year. Authorities have not released a possible motive.
It was not clear of Gregory had hired a lawyer.
