HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Connecticut state Treasurer Denise Nappier has been released from the hospital.
Spokeswoman Christine Shaw confirmed that Nappier left Hartford Hospital on Tuesday and “is resting comfortably'”at home. Nappier lives in Hartford.
Nappier’s office announced on Monday that the 59-year-old state official sought medical attention on Friday afternoon and was admitted to Hartford Hospital for treatment of a hypertension-related illness.
Shaw said she did not know when Nappier would resume a regular work schedule.
Nappier is a Democrat who won her fourth term as state treasurer in November. She was the only constitutional officer who sought re-election. Before she was first elected in 1998, she served 10 years as treasurer of the city of Hartford.
