“Operation Fuel” says it has run out of money for this winter’s fuel assistance program.  Director Pat Wrice says through last week, Operation Fuel and its network of more than 100 fuel banks had helped more than 27-hundred households with emergency energy assistance this winter,   but have used up the available $850-thousand in funds

She says during the last week of January, Operation Fuel’s fuel banks processed more applications than they did for the entire month of January last year.

Wrice says the program hopes to raise an additional $200,000 to keep the program operating through May.

Donations can be sent to Operation Fuel, One Regency Drive, Suite 200, Bloomfield, CT 06002, or made online at http://www.operationfuel.org.

Are you kidding???????????????????I know 9 people on ‘assistance’ & they are laughing all the way to the bank. They also get food stamps, help with their mortgage, help with fuel, & by the way they collect unemployment & NEVER lift a finger to look for work.
