Ankle Injury For UConn’s Buck

The top-ranked UConn women’s basketball team will be down one of their few reserves for the next several weeks. Backup center Heather Buck of Stonington  will be sidelined for at least two weeks after injuring her left ankle in practice on Thursday.

Buck’s injury leaves the huskies with only eight players in uniform heading into tomorrow’s game at Georgetown, which you can hear on WTIC NewsTalk 1080 starting with the pre-game at 2:30.

Hopefully she’ll be ready for the NCAA tourney!

Heather just started to become a real factor for the Number One UConn Women. Her rebounding will be needed if Uconn is to go beyond the Sweet 16.
