PLYMOUTH, Conn. (AP) _ Connecticut state police detectives are investigating what they describe as a suspicious death of a man whose body was discovered in a wooded area in Plymouth.
State police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance says Plymouth police officers responding to a report of a dead man in the Terryville section found the body Wednesday afternoon.
An initial examination by state police detectives confirmed the death as suspicious. Police have not identified the man.
Detectives are gathering forensic and physical evidence from the scene and are investigating the case with the help of Plymouth police officers.
Experts in the Office of Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death.
State and Plymouth police are asking anyone with information related to the death to contact them.
