Teens Charged With Making Bombs In Plainfield

Two teenagers are under arrest after Plainfield police say they were seen setting off an explosive device Friday morning in the backyard of a Canterbury Road residence. The call came in a little after ten a.m. on a report of shots fired.

Police say 18-year-old Brandon Godfrey and a 17-year-old made the explosive inside the home before it was detonated. The youngsters are charged with manufacturing bombs and breach of peace. They’ve been released on 5-thousand-dollars bond apiece and are due in court next month.
