How romance in colonial America differs from today

Marie Basile McDaniel, assistant professor of history, is an expert on colonial America at Southern Ct State Univ.Re: talks about how romance in colonial America differs from today. Dating was unheard of in those days, and even courting was generally limited to the elite, and even then, was relatively quick. She contends that the American Revolution, unintentionally, brought about a social revolution, as well, such as with romance.

    Great job, Marie….Ulla got the video but couldn’t hear it, I got the Audio but no picture . anyway, given the restrictions of such a radio interview (and the huge desire of the radio guy to hear himself talk) I thought your content and esp. the well delivered pace was excellent.
