UConn Alum Named Assistant Coach

As expected, a Connecticut native is the first assistant coach named to Paul Pasqualoni’s football coaching staff at UConn. New Haven native George DeLeone has been named the Huskies offensive coordinator. DeLeone is a UConn grad who was head coach at Southern Connecticut from 1976 thru 1979 and served on Pasqualoni’s staff at Syracuse from 1991 thru 1996 and again from 1998 thru 2004.

DeLeone spent the past three years as tight ends coach with the Miami Dolphins.
