Former Bridgeport Woman Reunited After Kidnapping

NEW YORK (AP) _ Police say a newborn snatched from a New York City hospital has been reunited with her biological mother more than 23 years later.
Police say Carlina White disappeared from Harlem Hospital in 1987 after her mother, Joy White, took her there because of a fever.
In recent years, Carlina, who was raised in Bridgeport, Conn. as Nejdra Nance, became convinced she was adopted. She found a baby photograph that resembled her on a missing children website and contacted Joy, who contacted police.
A DNA test was performed by New York City Police missing person detectives. It turns out Nejdra Nance was Carlina, all grown up.
Family members say they reunited with the woman over the weekend, and she was coming back from Atlanta to New York Wednesday.
