Suspect Arrested In Break-In At Charity

Hartford Police say an officer responding to an alarm at a South End charity arrested one man he say fleeing the scene of the break-in at Charities of Hope, 770 Wethersfield Ave.

Officer John Hernandez saw a suspect inside the building open a window and jump into the snow, then followed him on foot as he ran north and jumped over a fence, dropping a large bag as he fled. He found a suspect trying to hide in a snowbank. Police say the bag contained a computer stolen from the charity, and at the scene, they found broken doors and windows.

Twenty-seven-year-old Norbert Clementy of Bond Street was arrested on burglary and other charges.
