Two Arrested in West Hartford Break-in Which Prompted Lockdown

Photo Courtesy West Hartford policeWest Hartford police say they’ve arrested a brother and sister in connection with Tuesday’s interrupted residential burglary which prompted a search in the area of West Ridge Drive and a lockdown of nearby schools.  56-year-old Wladyslaw “Walter”  Stepian and his sister,  49-year-old Malgorzata Ingraham  were arrested at  their apartment on New Britain Avenue.

Stepien is charged with home invasion,  robbery and burglary and is held in lieu of a million dollars .

Photo courtesy West Hartford policeIngraham is charged with criminal possession of a firearm and hindering prosecution.  She was held in lieu of $100,000 bond.  The truck believed used in the crime was seized.
