Jury Selection Complete in Uzi Death Trial

Opening arguments are scheduled today in the trial of a former Massachusetts police chief charged in the accidential shooting death of an 8-year old boy from Ashford.

Jury selection wrapped up in Hampden Superior Court Monday in the involuntary manslaughter trial of 53-year old Edward Fluery.

Prosecutors say Fleury’s company co-sponsored a gun show in which Christopher Bazilj was given an UZI submachine gun at a target range.  The boy accidentially shot himself in the head.

The jury will see a video of the accident recorded by the boy’s father.
