Essex Man Charged with Drunk Driving in Passenger's Death

DEEP RIVER, Conn. (AP) _ An Essex man has been charged with driving under the influence after a passenger in his pickup was killed in a crash in the town of Deep River.

The victim, Gregory Dee, died on his 24th birthday.

Police said 28-year-old Mark Glowac lost control of his truck on Route 9 Thursday night, struck a guardrail and careened into a wooded area.

Dee was pronounced dead at the scene.

Glowac was treated for minor injuries at a hospital and later charged by state police with driving under the influence.

The accident remains under investigation.

    i think drinking an driving is alot of our problems with people getting killed.
