Suspect Arrested in 2009 Robbery in Which Clerk Was Bound; 2nd Sought
Farmington Police have arrested one suspect in a robbery 16 months ago at the Dunkin Donuts in the Unionville section of their town. Police responding found the store clerk on the floor, his hands duct-taped to his ankles. They say two suspects used a sledgehammer to force the safe open and stole approximately $2,600 from the register.
Police took 20-year-old Nicholas Tarpinian of Columbia, Connecticut, into custody. He’s held in lieu of a quarter million dollars bond, charged with robbery, conspiracy, kidnapping and larceny charges. They are continuing their search for the second suspect in the case and say they expect to make another arrest soon.
