Two East Windsor Teens Charged In Attempted Robbery

The clerk at the One Stop Convenience Store  on Depot Street was accosted by a  16 and a 17 year old  wearing banadas over their faces as he was closing up  just after 9 o’clock Saturday night.Police say the suspects claimed to have weapons and demanded money.The clerk was pushed into a wall and searched for money, but he did not have any.

The suspects fled, but  the clerk gave police  a description of them and their vehicle, which was stopped a short time later at Depot Street And Mill Pond Road.Both have been charged with Criminal Attempt Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit  Robbery,Threatening and Breach of Peace.Their names have not been released because of their age.The clerk was not injured.

The 16 year ld is being held in Juvenile detention in Hartford for a Monday appearance in Juvenile  Court.The 17 year old is being held at East Windsor Police Headquarters  in lieu of 50 thousand dollars bond for a Monday appearance in Enfield  Superior Court.
