Body Found Behind Hamden Store; Police Make Arrest

Hamden police say they’ve made an arrest in the killing of a homeless man found this morning in a tent behind a store on Dixwell Avenue.

Police say the 52-year-old man was bludgeoned to death with a blunt object, possibly a baseball bat. Police later arrested 40-year-old Roy Martin at a local coffee shop on a murder charge. Police say Martin and the victim lived together in a makeshift home under a bridge. Police say Martin asked an acquantance to help him bury the body.
