Is there usually a long line for this? I would like to bring my elderly parents and aunt, but they’re not really up to standing in line for more than a few minutes.

      Sheri –
We put your question to the staff at the Governor’s Office. This was the response:

Friday and Saturday afternoons are the times when the line is shortest.
When visitors arrive, those who cannot stand for a long period of time can flag down one of the many state troopers on site.
The troopers will seat those people in the entryway to the Residence.
When that person’s party makes its way through the line to the entryway, then they can reunite and take the tour.
People can feel free to contact Carol O’Shea, the Executive Director of the Residence, at 860 906 7757 if they have further questions.

I hope your family enjoys the tour.
