Vernon Police say they’ve arrested a man suspected of two separate holdups at the CVS Pharmacy at 142 Talcotville Road after an early-morning robbery in which shots were fired and the suspect made his getaway by jumping out of the drive-through window.
Police say after being called with a report of an armed robbery with shots fired inside the store just after 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. They say the pharmacist told them the suspect jumped the counter, when he was surprised by the pharmacist fnd fired one shot, hitting the cabinets behind the pharmacist, taking four bottles of narcotic pain relievers, each with 100 pills, and escaping through the window,
Police found 22-year-old Timothy Christenson, Jr., nearby, and found the clothing and gun from the holdup behind a store nearby.
Police say Christensen is also a suspect in a September robbery at the same pharmacy, in which a gun was shown, narcotics were taken and the suspect jumped out through the drive-through window.
He’s charged with robbery, larceny, possession of narcotics, and weapons charges. Police say they are applying for an arrest warrant in the September case.
