HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Democrat Richard Blumenthal continues to lead his Republican opponent, former wrestling executive Linda McMahon, by double digits in the closely watched Connecticut Senate race.

A new Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday shows the state attorney general leading McMahon by 12 percentage points, or 54 percent to 42 percent, among likely voters.

The matchup is virtually unchanged from an Oct. 14 Quinnipiac survey, when Blumenthal held an 11 percentage point lead.

Three percent of voters say they’re undecided in the race to fill the seat currently held by Democratic Sen. Chris Dodd, and 6 percent of voters say they could change their mind by Election Day.

The telephone survey of 702 likely voters has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.

They had a parade in Waterbury last week that was supposed to honor Vietnam vets. The veterans were supposed to march at the head of the parade. Instead, they got shunted to the second wave.

Know who was leading the parade instead?

Linda McMahon and her paid minions.

Nice smackdown against our Vietnam vets, Linda!

Richard Blumenthal has never stopped serving this country honorably, even after he opted to serve in the Marine Reserves during the Vietnam era, in which he did serve. Where was the L-Word back then? Making money, probably.

Blumenthal’s record of public service is light-years ahead of this rich Republican’s, he knows how the system works, he will hit the ground running in Washington, and the people of Connecticut will be far, far better served with him in the Senate. Democrats know not to be taken in by a $50 million buy-your-vote scam.

McMahon’s true colors were on full display in that Waterbury parade last week… Some Vietnam vets will never march in that parade ever again after her shenanigans in hogging the spotlight. Was glad to see at least one vet speak out about her antics in today’s Waterbury paper.
