Bristol police say a man found guilty this week in a 2008 stabbing jumped bail after he was found guilty of assault, breach of peace and carrying a dangerous weapon.  42-year-old Esteben Hernaiz of Meadow Street.

Police say he was found guilty at New Britain Superior Court,  but failed to appear in court for the verdict.  He had been free on $575,000 bond.

Warrants for his arrest on charges of “failure to appear” were issued,  and police are asking anyone who knows where Hernaiz is to call Bristol Police at (860) 584-3011.
