Farmington School Worker Killed in Crash
FARMINGTON, Conn. (AP) – A woman on her way to work at a Farmington middle school has been killed in a car crash.
Authorities say Kim Turner’s car collided head-on with a dump truck on Route 4 in Farmington on Tuesday. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The truck driver sustained minor injuries.
School officials say Turner had worked at Irving Robbins Middle School for 14 years as a cafeteria monitor as well as a hall monitor. She was popular with staff and students alike.
The school is making grief counselors available to students and staff for the rest of this week.
The crash remains under investigation.
