New Milford Teens Charged in Facebook Threats
NEW MILFORD, Conn. (AP) – Two New Milford middle school students have been arrested and suspended on allegations they threatened to kill an assistant principal and bomb their school in postings on their Facebook pages.
Police are not naming the two 13-year-old students at Schaghticoke Middle School because of juvenile offender laws. A boy was charged with disorderly conduct and threatening last week, and a girl was charged with breach of peace and threatening on Wednesday.
The News-Times of Danbury reports the boy’s Facebook posting said he was going to kill the assistant principal, and the girl wrote, “Let’s bomb the school together.”
Superintendent of Schools JeanAnn Paddyfote says she’s deciding whether to recommend that the students be expelled.
The boy’s mother told the newspaper that there was no actual plot to hurt anyone.
