NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) _ A group of Yale University students say they are filing civilian complaints with New Haven police over a nightclub raid in which five students were arrested.
The students say they will gather at Yale on Thursday and march together to the department, which is conducting an internal investigation of the Oct. 2 incident.
The raid occurred during a party at a downtown New Haven club, where witnesses allege officers punched, kicked and arrested one of the Yale students for no apparent reason.
Police say the student assaulted three officers and had to be subdued with a stun gun.
Students also say police threatened them with arrest for taking video and pictures of the raid, which was part of a new enforcement effort spurred by a downtown shootout.
