Pellet Gun Seized from Passenger at Bradley

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (AP) _ Connecticut state police say a Massachusetts man who tried to board a plane at Bradley International Airport carrying a pellet gun told officers he planned to play a prank on a friend.

Twenty-three-year-old Brendan Sullivan of Springfield was charged with tampering with airport security after the incident early Saturday at the Windsor Locks airport, about 15 miles north of Hartford.

The Hartford Courant reports the pellet gun, modeled after a handgun, was spotted at a security checkpoint.

A message was left Monday at a phone listing for Sullivan, and it wasn’t immediately known if he has an attorney. He posted $400 bail over the weekend.
