Body of Missing Kayaker Found

WILTON, Conn. (AP) _ Wilton police and fire officials have identified the body of a missing kayaker found in the Norwalk River following an accident involving the boat.
James Lind, who was missing since Friday, was identified Monday after his body was removed from the river. His girlfriend, 50-year-old Doreen Wallace, was found floating in the river Friday night and was brought to a hospital, where she was declared dead.
The 46-year-old Lind, a Wilton resident, had been the subject of a search by dive teams since Friday. Police said a two-person kayak, a paddle and clothing belonging to Lind were found in the river.
Lind’s body was taken to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
