Two UConn Players Charged with Breach of Peace

STORRS, Conn. (AP) _ Connecticut’s place-kicker and a linebacker have been charged with breach of peace after a fight on campus.

Kicker David Teggart and backup linebacker Jerome Williams were arrested early Tuesday just after midnight following a fight at the Hilltop apartments on campus.

UConn coach Randy Edsall says the two were fighting each other.

Neither has been suspended from the team, and Edsall says any discipline will be handled internally.

Both were released after posting $500 bonds and are due in court on Oct. 12.

Teggart has hit seven of his 11 field goal attempts this season and leads the Huskies with 35 points. Williams has played in two games and has five tackles.

UConn (2-2) faces Vanderbilt (1-2) on Saturday.
