STORRS, Conn. (AP) _ Connecticut quarterback Zach Frazer, who was replaced midway through last Saturday’s game against Buffalo, has dropped off the Huskies depth chart.

Coach Randy Edsall said Tuesday that redshirt freshman Michael Box will back up starter Cody Endres against Vanderbilt.

Edsall said he believes Endres and Box give the Huskies the best chance of winning. He said Frazer, a senior transfer from Notre Dame, did not agree with the decision, but has accepted it.

Endres, a junior who started six games last year, came in against Buffalo with the game tied at 14 and led UConn to a 45-21 win.
